No, donations to political candidates are not tax dedcutible.

I will not be taking any funding from PACs, or political party committees. My movement is for the people and therefore I will only be soliciting donations from individuals and the Maine Clean Election Act. Maine Clean Elections is a voluntary full public funding system for candidates for all state offices. I am pursing funding from MCEA because it will allow me to focus on what really matters, community building. Once I fundraise my set amount of seed goal money, I will cease collecting donations from individuals.
