Building a Stronger Community Together.

ABOUT  MOLLY

Molly has a strong background in community organizing. As a teenager, she founded a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that sent care packages to chronically ill individuals around the world. She also had a leadership role on her local library board. These experiences shaped how she values the importance of civic involvement.

She grew up in a family that owns a small business that prioritizes the sustainable stewardship of renewable resources, which gave her a unique perspective on both the local economy and environmental justice at an early age. When she chose to make Farmington her home, she immediately fell in love with how tight knit the community is, how they care for each other, and the resounding resilience and work-ethic of her neighbors. In her spare time she enjoys being outside and volunteering as a Maine Master Naturalist.

My “Why”

I am a firm believer in being the change you wish to see in the world. I have demonstrated this throughout my life, most recently by founding a housing cooperative in Farmington that has increased affordable housing opportunities locally. I’m not running to be a politician, I’m running because I believe that my neighbors, friends, and fellow workers deserve a voice in the political landscape.

It is evident that Maine is becoming rapidly less affordable. But why? The reality is we have a government that can be bought. I pledge to serve the people who can’t afford to buy their representative. I will not take money from corporate PACs and my focus is centering community led policy.  It’s time to prioritize a government that values people over profits and a representative that serves the true interest of its constituents. Meeting the needs of human lives should be the cornerstone of our government.
